CUNNINGHAM, HARRIET VELLINES

CUNNINGHAM, Harriet Vellines, 78, of Roanoke, died Monday, January 4, 1993. She was a member of Airlee Court Baptist Church. She was a registered nurse and was retired from the VA Medical Center. Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Eugene Cunningham; a son, Curtis Neil Cunningham; a brother, Robert Everett Vellines, Jr. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel E. (Gene) Cunningham, Jr. and Barbara Merrick Cunningham, Miami, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Dalton Cunningham, Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Ann V. Joyner, Ashland, Virginia V. Johnson, Glen Allen; a brother, William G. Vellines, Richmond; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 1993, with the Rev. T. Eugene Burris officiating. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be given to American Cancer Society or Airlee Court Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Lotz Roanoke Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
