JAMES RIVER ROLLS 74-59
Jody Steger scored 19 points as James River whipped Craig County 74-59 in a Pioneer District boys' basketball game Tuesday night.Romond Waldron paced James River (2-6, 1-0) with 18 points, including three 3-point goals.
Robby Huffman led Craig County (4-4, 0-1) with 23 points, including six 3-pointers. David Johnson added 13 points. \
Monday's games
\ Laurel Park 89, Tunstall 68: At Martinsville, five Lancers scored in double figures as they rolled over the Trojans.
Lonzy Robertson scored 21 points, Chauncey Strange added 13, Warrick Scott 12, James Milner 11 and Girard Foster 10 for Laurel Park (7-0).
For Tunstall (4-4), Khris Law scored 20 while Chris Walton and Tarrace Carter added 14 each. \
Riverheads 51, Bath County 50: At Staunton, Chris Scooley hit a 5-foot baseline jumper with two seconds remaining in overtime time to lift the Gladiators past the Chargers.
Mike Wilkerson led Riverheads (2-6) with 20 points. For Bath County (4-5), Craig Phillips scored 16, Matt Sherrard 14 and Tyler McCune 10. \
Parry McCluer 57, Rockbridge County 53: At Buena Vista, Jason Baker scored 15 points and the Fighting Blues defeated the Wildcats in a non-district game.
Sam Wheeler added 11 for Parry McCluer (4-0). Rockbridge County is 5-3.
