WILKES, ELSIE MAY

WILKES, Elsie May, 95, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, January 5, 1993. She was the widow of Haaman Rodger Wilkes and was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Duvall Wilkes. She was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, Haaman Elwood Wilkes and Kenneth A. Wilkes, both of Roanoke; daughters, Mrs. Omar M. (Meddie) Patterson Jr., Richmond, Mrs. Henry W. (Ruth) Harvey, Roanoke; sister, Mrs. R. R. Gallaher, Lynchburg; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted from the graveside, Fair View Cemetery, 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Richard McNutt officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
