TILSON, JOHN ROSS

TILSON, John Ross, 63, of Marion, died Monday, January 4, 1993 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Helen Romans Tilson of Marion; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny David and Sherry Lynn Tilson of Sugar Grove; one grandson, Jason David Tilson of Sugar Grove; one granddaughter, April Lynn Tilson of Sugar Grove; four sisters, Irma Testerman and Florence Null, both of Marion, Grace Goodpasture of Abingdon, and Elizabeth Hall of Washington, Ga.; two brothers, Harry Edward Tilson of Falls Church and Joseph "Ted" Tilson of Mesa, Ariz. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Childress, the Rev. Mike Sage and the Rev. Michael Weller officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 at the Seaver-Brown Chapel.
