TEEN FACES CHARGES OF AFTER-HOURS THEFTS
A 13-year-old boy who told police he dozed off in a department store is suspected of an after-hours shoplifting spree, police said.The youth was arrested early Wednesday inside the Leggett store at Liberty Fair Mall, police said. He was charged with felony grand larceny and was being held at a detention center in Danville.
The teen-ager was wearing or carrying about $600 in merchandise when officers caught him. He was discovered shortly after midnight after repeatedly triggering an interior motion detector.
