POST-INAUGURAL TICKETS TO WHITE HOUSE OFFERED
Inaugural planners said Wednesday that citizens who want to meet the new first family at the White House the day after the inauguration should write the Park Service for tickets.President Clinton, Vice President Gore and their wives will be hosts of the open house on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Tickets will be made available by the National Park Service. People seeking them should write to: Presidential Open House, Post Office Box 76401, Washington, D.C. 20013. There is a limit of two tickets per request. Those requesting tickets must include their name, address and telephone number. Requests must reach the National Park Service by 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The number of tickets is limited. Recipients will be selected by lottery. They will get a letter indicating where they can pick up tickets and when they should line up for admission to the White House.
The committee also said tickets for reviewing stands along the route of the inaugural parade will go on sale at 10 a.m. today. The $10 tickets can be purchased through TicketMaster by calling (800) 551-SEAT or (202) 432-SEAT.
There is a limit of four tickets per order. A $3 service charge will be added to the price of each seat.
