GARDNER, EDITH IVETTA

GARDNER, Edith Ivetta, 91, of Staunton and formerly of 1866 Arlington Road, Roanoke, died Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 1993 in Oak Hill Nursing Home. She was born August 24, 1901 in Augusta County, daughter of George Calvin and Josie Lee Baber Hall. She was a member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and the Woman's Club in Roanoke. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. C. B. (Iva) Whitaker, Staunton, Mrs. Grayson (Anna) Via, Waynesboro; two nephews, Grayson Hall Via, Westfield, N.J., Thomas C. Whitaker, Waynesboro. A service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Etter Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Walter M. Lockett Jr. and Rev. R. Elwood Pack with burial in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
