WRIGHT, CLARENCE EUGENE SR.
WRIGHT, Clarence Eugene Sr., 82, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Roanoke,
died Saturday, January 2, 1993. Clarence attended Roanoke College and
graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical
Engineering and was a life time member of A.S.H.R.E. He was a retired
professional design engineer. He was a member of the Masons Eastern Star and
had served as District Governor with a Lions Club of Fairmont, W.Va. He was
preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis and Fannie Williams Wright; his
first wife, Mary Elizabeth Fox Wright; his daughter, Martha Jean Smith; and a
brother, Everett T. Wright. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Drew Wright; a
son, Clarence Eugene Wright Jr., Marietta, Ohio; a sister, Marie Killgore,
Roanoke; a brother, James L. Wright Jr., Roanoke; three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in
Evergreen Burial Park Friday, January 8, 11 a.m., with Dr. Gregory L. Adkins
officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the
Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, c/o Kazim Temple, Roanoke. There will
be no visitation. Oakey's Roanoke Chapel is handling funeral arrangements.
