OBIT BARTON, MARY MORGAN
BARTON, Mary Morgan, 86, of Hardy, died Thursday, January 7, 1993 at her
home. She was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church and the widow of Charlie
Roosevelt Barton. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Lorene B.
Musgrove, Salem, Eva B. and Billy Oakes, Hardy; a son and daughter-in-law,
Charlie Richard and Lillian M. Barton, Roanoke; 10 grandchildren, Kathy
Ingram, Thomasville, N.C., Karen Wolfe, Roanoke, Diane Bannister, Richmond,
Linda Cunningham, Salem, Bill Musgrove, Roanoke, David Musgrove, Salem,
Maurice Oakes, Janet Oakes, Richard Oakes and Terry Oakes, all of Hardy; 14
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be
conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 1993 with
the Rev. Clay E. Peters and the Rev. Burrell Baker officiating. Burial will be
in the Barton family cemetery, Hardy. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton
Chapel.
