OBIT BENNETT, ROY J.
BENNETT, Roy J., 92, of Glade Hill, died Wednesday, January 6, 1993. He was a member and trustee of the Glade Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, one daughter and son-in-law, Coreta and Frank Osborne of Potomac, Md.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, David and Jody Osborne of Potomac, Md., Christopher Bennett Osborne of Rochester, N.Y.; one brother, Guy Bennett of Vienna and also of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Tench, Penhook, and Bee Butler of Rockville, Md.; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 1993, in the Bennett family plot at Glade Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Mr. Bennett's name to the Glade Hill Rescue Squad, Route 1, Box 82, Glade Hill, Va. 24092 or the Glade Hill Fire Department, Route 1, Glade Hill, Va. 24092. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Arrington-Busssey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
