OBIT PLUNKETT, ANTHONY HIRAM JR.
PLUNKETT, Anthony Hiram Jr., 68, of Boones Mill, died Wednesday, January 6, 1993. Mr. Plunkett was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Elva "Lou" Plunkett; one son, Anthony Phillip Plunkett, Roanoke; one daughter, Delores Marleen Hogan, Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Shirley A. Plunkett, Boones Mill; four stepchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy P. and J. C. Jones, Lula P. Wyatt, Caroline P. and C. B. Mills, all of Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth J. (Bet) Plunkett, Roanoke, Gay K. Plunkett, Hardy; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Butterworth officiating. Interment will be in Plunkett Family Cemetery in Franklin Co. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
