OBIT DIAMOND, MIER RUDOLPH, ("RUDY")
DIAMOND, Mier Rudolph, ("Rudy"), 79, of Wytheville, died Monday, January 4,
1993, in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born in Fallsburg,
Kentucky, a son of the late John Proctor and Anna Yates Diamond. He was a
retired manager of Logan Concrete Industries, Inc., Logan, W. Va. and was a U.
S. Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was
preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Shepheard Diamond. He is survived by
two sisters, Virginia Marie Diamond, Willa Faye Diamond; one brother, Francis
Elmer Diamond, all of Dayton, Ohio; special friends, Emma Jones, Giesla
Eversole, both of Austinville, Va. Funeral services will be held Saturday at
11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Paul Gallagher officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive
friends at the Barnett Funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday with a prayer
service to be held at 8 p.m. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge
of the arrangements.
