TEEN ATTACKED WALKING HOME FROM SCHOOL

A 16-year old George Wythe High School student suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked while walking home from school.

Wytheville Police Department Investigator Marty Alford said the assault happened Tuesday and may have involved from two to eight attackers. Charges are awaiting positive identification of the attackers, he said.
