KENNEDY-MACHER

Mr. Stephen Harold Kennedy, of Salem, and Mrs. William F. Pitka, of Augusta, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Susan Kennedy, to Richard Henry Macher, son of Mrs.Roland H. Macher and the late Mr.Macher, of Harrisonburg.

Miss Kennedy is a graduate of E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg and Radford University. She is currently employed by J.G. Brokerage in Richmond. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hatcher Connelly and Mr. Joseph Kennedy, of Lynchburg.

Mr. Macher was graduated from Harrisonburg High School and Va. Tech. He is the president and owner of Macado's Inc.

The wedding is planned for May 15 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Salem.
