Amy Darragh Martin and William Robert Aker, Jr., were married December 12,
1992, at Lake Gregory Community Church in Crestline, California. The
officiating clergyman was Pastor Dale Holden. The reception was held at The
San Moritz Lodge in Crestline. The maid of honor was Karin Elizabeth Martin,
sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Wilson, a lifetime friend, Becky
Valentine and Simone Cesh, friends from track, andKerri Adell, a friend from
college. The flowergirl was Katherine C. McIntosh, niece of the groom. The
best man was William R. Aker, father of the groom. Ushers were Robert J.
Tanner and Gary A. Gaunt, friends of the groom, Gregory Cavallaro, college
roommate, and Philip T. Martin, brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Robert B.
McIntosh, Jr., nephew of the groom. The candlelighter wasConstance Collier,
friend of the bride. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses, stephanotis,
cedar, and ivy. The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Trueman M. Martin,
Jr., of Crestline, Calif. She graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas,
and is attending the International School of Theology in San Bernardino,
Calif. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Aker, Sr., of Roanoke, Va.,
is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. After the wedding trip to
Dillon, Colorado, the newlyweds will live in Crestline. The couple met in
Tianjin, China, while both were employed by Management Technologies, Inc., of
Hong Kong, China and U.S.A.
