LIPTRAP-GRAVETT
Joanne Leigh Gravett and Brian Scott Liptrap were married January 2, 1993,
in Penn Forest Christian Church with Evangelist Elwood McAllister officiating.
The reception was held at the Patrick Henry Hotel. The matron of honor was
Mary Patrick, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Faye Gravett and Nina
Saker, sisters of the bride, and Whitney Liptrap, sister-in-law of the groom.
The best man was Kevin Liptrap, brother of the groom. The ushers were Kevin
Thompson, Marc Hurley, Darren Worley, and Jamie Povlich, friends of the groom.
Ringbearer was Joshua Patrick. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
L. Gravett of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and
Roanoke College. She is employed by Roanoke City Public Schools. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred K. Liptrap of Vinton. He is a graduate of East
Tennessee State University. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, after the
wedding trip to Washington, D.C.
