WOMAN, 67, DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT

A Henry County woman died Saturday after a collision near Ridgeway.

State Police identified the victim as Martha Susan Holland, 67, of Ridgeway.

Police said Holland's car was struck on the driver's side by a pickup truck as she attempted to enter U.S. 220.

The name of the other driver was not available Saturday night.

The accident happened at 11:20 a.m. near Virginia 902. Holland died about an hour later at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
