OBIT ROOP, BRUCE ROBERT

ROOP, Bruce Robert, 86, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 8, 1993. He was a retired machinist with N&W Railway and was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Helen G. Roop; one brother, Lewis J. Roop, Blacksburg; a special neighbor and friend, Ms. Angela H. Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, with the Rev. Troy B. Webb officiating. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel anytime Monday.
