OBIT SAUNDERS, JAMES ALFRED

SAUNDERS, James Alfred, 81, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, January 7, 1993. Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Saunders, one daughter, Sharon Saunders Mike, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lorraine Pleasant, Louise and Thomas Dickerson, all of Roanoke; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Frank W. Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis, Morticians.
