OBIT STAPLES, BILLIE JOE

STAPLES, Billie Joe, 28, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, January 8, 1993. Survivors include her husband, George M. Staples; one daughter, Latasha D. Smith; her grandmother, Ethel B. Allen, all of Roanoke; five sisters, Marsha Covington, Denise Campbell, Barbara Davis and Angela Davis, all of Roanoke, Jean Scott of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Steven Davis of Roanoke, Michael A. Davis of Hampton; her foster sister, Wanda Scott; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 1993, in the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas A. Woods Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to funeral services. Hamlar-Curtis, Morticians.
