OBIT KINGERY, HARRY ELLIS
KINGERY, Harry Ellis, 67, of Roanoke, died Thursday, January 7, 1993, in a
Roanoke hospital. He was a Virginia State Warden for 30 years and served in
World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Kingery; one daughter,
Lottie Smith, Virginia Beach; two sons, Barry E. Kingery and H. Bruce Kingery,
both of Chesapeake; stepdaughters, Shirley S. Wygal and Carolyn S. Izon;
stepson, C.E. Shupe; sisters, Mary Wright and Beaulah Cooper, both of Boones
Mill, Elsie Puckett and Helen Wade, both of Roanoke, Emma Branscome, Plano,
Texas; brothers, Luther Kingery, Roanoke, Hubert Kingery, Salem, Russell
Kingery, Baltimore, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 11, 1993 at 10 a.m. at
Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Harry Dyer officiating. In lieu of
flowers, the family request donations be made to Hollins Rescue Squad. Friends
may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
