OBIT ROBERTS, ROBERT SIDNEY SR.

ROBERTS, Robert Sidney Sr., 65, of Thaxton, died Saturday, January 9, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was born in New York October 22, 1927, and was a retired foreman with New River Electric Company. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lee Roberts; a daughter and son, Bonnie Roberts Davis of Thaxton, Robert S. "Chip" Roberts Jr. of Salem; a brother and sister, Melvin Roberts of Roanoke, Carolyn Campbell of Ohio; and a special niece. Patricia Kageals, Vinton. Also surviving are four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements by Carder-Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford.
