OBIT BARTLETT, CHARLIE WINFORD II ("CHARLES")

BARTLETT, Charlie Winford II ("Charles"), 66, of Buena Vista, died Friday, January 8, 1993 in Lewis-Gale Hospital. He was born in Williamsburg on June 9, 1926, the son of the late Charlie and Leola Jones Bartlett. He was retired from the city of Buena Vista, Sanitation Dept., after 16 years, 10 months of service. He had previously worked at Robert E. Lee Hotel and Southern Seminary College. He is survived by his wife, Louise "Peters" Bartlett; two sons, Charlie "Will" Winford Bartlett, Natural Bridge and Phillip Bartlett, Lexington; two daughters, Rose "Lee" Clark and Helen Louise Hartless, both of Buena Vista; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Victory Baptist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Dean Staton. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lomax Funeral Home.
