1 TICKET CLAIMS LOTTO

One ticket purchased at Tabb Exxon Shop on Big Bethel Road in Hampton matched the six winning numbers in the Virginia Lotto's $1.2 million jackpot, the Lottery said Sunday.

The numbers drawn Saturday night were 3, 4, 17, 21, 31 and 40.

The winner will receive 20 annual payments of about $40,800 a year after taxes.

Lottery spokeswoman Cherie Phaup said 49 tickets, worth $1,295 each, matched five of the six numbers; 2,591 tickets, worth $52 apiece, matched four of the six, and 44,418 tickets, worth a free play, matched three of the six.

Wednesday's estimated Lotto jackpot is $1 million.
