OBIT BOLLING, HANNAH RUSHER

BOLLING, Hannah Rusher, 69, of 1311 Peaks Street, Bedford, died Sunday, January 10, 1993 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on May 1, 1923, daughter of the late Fred DeWitt Rusher and Addie Ethel Thurman Rusher. She was a member of Bedford Baptist Church and vice president of the Bedford Genealogical Society. She received her nursing degree from the Medical College of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science degree from Lynchburg College. She was a retired Nursing Supervisor at Virginia Baptist Hospital and was preceded in death by her husband, Ersel Lee Bolling Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ersel L. and Charlene K. Bolling of Bedford and Charlottesville; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Mickey Rusher of Big Island; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen West of Deltaville and Joyce Gardner of Chesapeake; her mother-in-law, Sara Creasy Bolling of Chesapeake. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R. Lee Stocks officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
