OBIT TURPIN, DOVIE PHILLIPS

TURPIN, Dovie Phillips, 88, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, January 9, 1993, at Pulaski Community Hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Verlie Lyons, Dublin; one half sister, Lettie Ferris, Roanoke; four granddaughters, Rhonda Warren, Sherry Wilson, Joyce McGuire, Carol Ratliff; one grandson, Weldon Minnick; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Elder Sidney Rakes officiating. Burial will be in Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
