OBIT LEHMANN, NATHANIEL R. ("NAT")
LEHMANN, Nathaniel R. ("Nat"), 97, of Roanoke, died Sunday, January 10,
1993, in a Vinton Nursing Home. He was born in Botetourt County, September 13,
1895, and had been an employee of the Norfolk & Western Railroad since 1912.
He retired as assistant vice president, traffic. He was a former director of
the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke, a member of the Board of Stewards of Greene
Memorial United Methodist Church & was presently a member of Raleigh Court
Presbyterian Church, a member of the Izaak Walton League, and a member of the
Roanoke Valley Bird Club. He was predeceased by his wife Thelma Yost Lehmann.
Surviving is one sister, Chrystella Lehmann, Cardinal, Va. Funeral services
will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 11 a.m. Tuesday by Dr. Tupper
Garden. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family suggests in lieu
of flowers, donations be made to Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church. Friends
may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where the family will receive friends from
7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
