RAIDERS CRUISE PAST CARLISLE
Mike Bryant's 16 points led five North Cross players in double figures Monday as the Raiders romped over Carlisle 88-33 in a Virginia Independent Conference boys' high school basketball game.
The Raiders (9-3 overall, 2-0 league) rolled to an 18-2 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Andrew Tunnell led Carlisle (0-10, 0-5) with 17 points.
COVINGTON - Robby Huffman had seven of his team-high 18 points in a third-quarter rally that boosted the Rockets past the Indians in a non-district game.
Boys' Home led 35-30 at halftime but was outscored 18-11 in the third quarter.
Jeff Ford added 17 points for the Rockets. Donnie Costigan led the Indians with 27 points. George Wood added 20 and Chris Hicks 12.
