OBIT RATLIFF, WAITIE SIMMONS

RATLIFF, Waitie Simmons, 81, of Willis, passed away Sunday, January 10, 1993 in Lawfork Nursing Home. He was a guard at Camp #10 in Willis for ten years and also a painter for many years. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Belcher Ratliff, Willis; one daughter, Shelva R. Hoffmann, Reston; one granddaughter, Tamara Shipp, Chesapeake; one grandson, Charles Simmons Hoffmann, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Annie Thomas, Salem, Essie Parker, Cambria; two great-grandsons. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating with interment in Greasy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
