OBIT WEAVER, JOHN SAMUEL
WEAVER, John Samuel, 78, of 15520 Richmond Street, Chester, died Monday,
January 11, 1993 in John Randolph Hospital, Hopewell. He was born in Riner,
Va. and was a resident of Chester since 1960. Mr. Weaver was a retired
machinist for Allied Chemical Corp., a member of Wesley United Methodist
Church, a past master of Virginia May Lodge #38, A.F.&A.M., Radford and a past
patron of Virginia May #92 Order of the Eastern Star, Radford. He was the son
of the late Robert A. and Dora Zentmeyer Weaver. Surviving are his wife,
Berneidith Prater Weaver of Chester, a daughter, Peggy W. Sisson of Hopewell;
a son, Charles Andrew Weaver of Hopewell; four grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; a sister, Sue W. Vernon of Riner; two brothers, W. Scott
Weaver of Christiansburg, and George R. Weaver of Fairfax. The family will
receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T.
Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.
in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Crawford, pastor of Wesley
United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial
Park, Chester. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist
Church Memorial Fund, 2901 Norfolk St., Hopewell, Va. 23860.
