BOUCHER HEALTH FORUM JAN. 22 IN BLACKSBURG
Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, will hold the last of four planned health forums at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Blacksburg High School auditorium to discuss in detail federal health-care reform proposals.``With 37 million uninsured Americans and health-care cost increases averaging 12 percent per year, a reform of the current system is a national priority,'' Boucher said.
``During the meetings, I will explain the major proposals for new approaches to health care delivery and seek the views of 9th District providers and consumers of health care,'' he said.
The other forums will be held at Cedar Bluff, at Big Stone Gap and in the Abingdon-Bristol area.
