OBIT HARRISON, ELLEN LOOMIS
HARRISON, Ellen Loomis, 90, of Roanoke, died Monday, January 11, 1993 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ronnie Ulrey in Bassett. She was the widow of A. B. Harrison and a member of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Loomis. In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William B. and Phyllis Harrison; Minnetonka, Minn.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews including Julie L. McDowell, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside, Evergreen Burial Park 2 p.m. Friday with Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 9 a.m. Thursday where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
