WYTHEVILLE EXPANDS HOUSING AUTHORITY

Wytheville Town Council is expanding its five-member Redevelopment and Housing Authority to seven, paving the way for the authority to work on housing outside the town limits.

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors had approved a resolution earlier asking that the authority expand operations into the county, where low-income rental housing is needed.

The increase in board members approved by council Monday night will allow the county to be represented on the authority.
