OBIT STARKE, SALLY MOORE

STARKE, Sally Moore, 69, of 75 Wallace Pike, Bristol, Virginia, died Thursday, January 7, 1993 at her home. She was a native of Bristol, Tenn., a retired claims processor with the Social Security Administration, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Bristol Humane Society and supporter of Bristol Ballet Company. Survivors include one niece, Sally Austen Tom, Charleston, W.Va.; one nephew, Jerry William Tom Jr.; one great-niece, Gretta Tom; one great-nephew, Caleb Tom, all of Jefferson, Pa. Graveside services for Sally Moore Starke will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Old Saint Johns Cemetery, Wytheville, Va. with Rev. Laurie McAlpine officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home, Bristol, Tenn. Those desiring may make memorials to Bristol Humane Society, P.O. Box 1586, Bristol, Va. 24201 or Bristol Ballet Company, 628 Cumberland St., Bristol, Va. 24201.
