RADFORD FALLS ON FINAL GLENVAR SHOT

Wes Jones sank a 12-foot jump shot with two seconds left Wednesday to give Glenvar a 58-56 high school boys' basketball victory over Radford.

Jones, with 12 points, was one of three players in double figures for the Highlanders (7-3). Matt Woolwine led Glenvar with 16 points and Jason Woolwine added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Radford, which tied the score at 56 with 20 seconds left, got a game-high 20 points and eight rebounds from Chris Hairston. Garett Jones added 14 points and Casey Underwood had 12.

Glenvar attempted only three free throws and Radford only seven in the cleanly played game. \
