SMYTH WATER PROJECT TO SERVE 300 RESIDENTS

A ground-breaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon for a project to provide public water to 300 Smyth County residents in the Broadford and Watson Gap area.

The project also will serve Northwood Middle School and Rich Valley Elementary School.

Thompson & Litton Inc. is the engineering firm for the project, which is being carried out by the county's Public Service Authority.
