DOCTOR GETS PROBATION IN CANCER TREATMENT
The Virginia Board of Medicine has elected against revoking the license of an oncologist who faced a 13-count complaint alleging he had used treatments with no therapeutic value. The board on Tuesday instead put Dr. Vincent J. Speckhart of Norfolk on indefinite probation.
One of the conditions of Speckhart's probation is that he will no longer use vaccines made from patients' own blood, feces or urine. The board found he had stopped using these for most patients about two years ago, said board spokesman Wayne Farrar.
