TOWN ANNOUNCES DOG-TAG DEADLINE

Dog owners must purchase 1993 dog tags before Feb. 1 to avoid a fine of $42. Tags are on sale in the Montgomery County Courthouse on Franklin Street and at the town finance office in the Municipal Building in Blacksburg.

A rabies vaccination is required. Spay-neuter tags are $3 and require proof from a veterinarian. Male and female tags are $5 each. For kennels holding 20 dogs, the fee is $25; $35 for kennels holding 50 dogs.
