OBIT SCHOONOVER, CHARLES LONNIE, ("JACKIE")
SCHOONOVER, Charles Lonnie, ("Jackie"), 47, of Roanoke, died Monday,
January 11, 1993. He was employed with Jarrett Brokerage, Inc. He attended the
First Church of the Nazarene, was a retired member of the Roanoke City Police
Department, active in church and sandlot sports, and was a loving father and
devoted husband. He is survived by his wife, Linda Whitt Calvert Schoonover;
son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Larry and Rebecca Calvert, U.S. Coast Guard;
son, Darryl Robert Schoonover, Radford; daughter, Dana Michelle Schoonover,
Roanoke; his mother, Clara W. Schoonover, Vinton; grandmother, Annie Ruth
Sirry, Roanoke; sisters and brother-in-law, Gail Ann and Kenneth Euglow,
Portsmouth, Cynthia Gwen Harrison, Salem; niece, Judy Euglow; nephews, Scott
Harrison, Michael Euglow. Funeral services will be noon Friday at the First
Church of the Nazarene by Rev. Ernest C. Lewis with burial in Cedar Lawn
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made to
the Jefferson Center Foundation, PO Box 8656, Roanoke, VA 24014.
