OBIT MAYS, JONATHAN MICHAEL, (J. R.)

MAYS, Jonathan Michael, (J. R.), 17, of Chilhowie, died Wednesday, January 13, 1993 at his home. He was a senior at Marion Senior High School. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diane and John Burke, Chilhowie; his father, Michael Mays, Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Toni, Sherri and Kandi Burke, all of Chilhowie; his maternal grandparents, Don and Camella Green, Bristol, Va.; paternal grandmother, Geraldine Mays Parker, Bristol, Va; stepgrandmother, Thelma J. Burke, Chilhowie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Michael Andrews and Rev. Bobby Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Seaver-Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
