OBIT ZIEGLER, CLAUDE ELDRIDGE

ZIEGLER, Claude Eldridge, 69, of Richmond, formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, January 13, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Betty Akers Ziegler; parents, Lunie W. and Jeanettie Palmer Ziegler; two sisters, Adean Z. Young of Roanoke and Jean Z. Wimmer of Nags Head, N. C.; two brothers, Leonard C. Ziegler of Roanoke and E. Wayne Ziegler of Stone Mountain, Georgia; his father and mother-in-law, Auborn L. and Hazel W. Akers of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ziegler was a retired U. S. postal worker. His remains rest at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the West Richmond Church of the Brethren, 7612 Wanymala Rd. Interment, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.
