HEALTH-CARE CONSULTANT TO BE SOUGHT

School Superintendent Robert McCracken has told the Giles County School Board that a committee representing school and county government employees has been established to look for a consultant to advise them in their negotiations for health-care services.

McCracken said Wednesday they are not necessarily looking for a new health care carrier, but they are "trying to line up resources in a consultant to see if we're getting the best insurance for our dollar."

The county is currently a part of the Local Choice Health Care System.

McCracken also reported that the Wilder administration has prepared and submitted his amendments for the biennial budget for 1993-94. No major changes have been included that affect Giles County schools, he said, including the lack of funding for any salary increases for next year.
