PULASKI SUPERVISORS, RADFORD COUNCIL TO MEET
A joint meeting of the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors and Radford City Council is planned for Monday night to discuss land acquisition or disposition and legal matters.Supervisors Ira S. "Jack" Crawford and Mason A. Vaughan Sr. requested the special board meeting in the Pulaski County Administration Building starting at 7 p.m.
The board will be joined by members of Radford City Council at 7:30 p.m.
The most recent action by the supervisors involving property was the vote Jan. 5 to buy the remaining 650 acres of the former AT&T property at Fairlawn for $1.3 million. The building and some other acreage already had been purchased by New River Industries Inc.
At the time of the vote, board Chairman Jerry White said the county would "begin exploring with other localities what opportunities there may be for developing this property" as a regional industrial park.
