OBIT-CARKIN, LOREN ALVAH

CARKIN, Loren Alvah, 63, of Salem, died Wednesday, January 13, 1993 in a Salem hospital. He was retired from General Electric Company, Salem. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Vickie Carkin, Salem, Bryan and Barbara Carkin, Quanico; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Debbie and Don Neff, Jacksonville, N.C., Karen and Bill Freischlag, Roanoke; three brothers, Warren Carkin, Polen Springs, N.H., Frank Carkin, Richmond, Maine, Gordon Carkin, Laconia, N.H.; three sisters, Bernice Vaughan, Sanbornville, N.H., Anna Ford, Nashville, Ga., Muriel Cox, Days Creek, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Christine Carkin, North Woodstock, N.H.; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 1993 at 12 noon with Father Jim Parks officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
