EQUIPMENT STOLEN IN WYTHE BREAK-INS
Thieves in Wytheville seem to be stocking up on more equipment than money these days.Someone took a videocassette recorder, video camera, lap-top copier and two microcassette tape recorders during a break-in at the Wythe County School Board office Jan. 8, Wytheville police reported.
Some time between then and Monday, the state and federal purchasing and supply building in Wytheville was entered through a window. Taken were two pairs of binoculars, five intercoms, medical test equipment, a flashlight, two cases of dehydrated chicken, two cases of peas, a field jacket, raincoat and $8.
Police are unsure if the thefts are related.
