A woman who was found bludgeoned to death along with her 5-year-old daughter was described by neighbors as friendly and outgoing.
"She was a fine person," a sobbing Sherrie White said of the dead woman, 30-year-old Katherine Ann Tafelski. "She was always doing something for her kids."
Tafelski and her daughter, Ashley, were found dead in their home shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday by Katherine Tafelski's mother. Two other children, a boy and a girl, were found badly beaten. Neighbors said the boy was Andrew Tafelski, about 3, a son of the dead woman, and the girl was a cousin, about 3. - Associated Press
