OBIT BOOTHE, TAZWELL

BOOTHE, Tazwell, 102, of Rt. 3, Vinton, passed away Thursday, January 14, 1993, in a local hospital. He was a son of John A. and Sally P. Bowles Boothe. Mr. Boothe was a life long member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was the oldest member ever from that church. He was predeceased by his wife, Ella Quarles Boothe. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Nelson H. and Mabel Boothe, Rt. 1, Vinton; two daughters and son-in-law, Ethel B. St.Clair, Rt. 1, Vinton, Mabel B. and Marvin Wheeler, Rt. 3, Vinton; also 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 1993, from the Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Elmer Sellers and the Rev. Bill Mitchell will officiate. Burial to follow in Shady Grove Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
