HOT-SHOOTING YELLOW JACKETS DROP GENERALS
Jason Grubb scored 18 points and Dan Prescott added 17 as Randolph-Macon rolled past Washington and Lee 78-61 Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference basketball game.Randolph-Macon (6-5 overall, 2-3 ODAC) led 42-23 after a half in which it made 60 percent of its field-goal attempts and limited the Generals to 31 percent.
The Yellow Jackets started the second half with seven unanswered points to lead 49-23. Washington and Lee (4-9, 2-6) scored with a jumper, but Randolph-Macon then went on a 7-0 run to make it 56-25.
The teams traded baskets throughout the half as the Yellow Jackets maintained a 20-plus points lead. With four minutes left, Randolph-Macon led 78-51. The Generals scored the final 10 points.
