TECH IMPROVES TO 10-3
Sophomores Lisa Leftwich and Christi Osborne combined for 43 points as Virginia Tech defeated Tulane 80-57 Saturday for the best start in the history of the Tech women's basketball program.The Lady Hokies are 10-3 overall, their best-ever record after 13 games. They are 2-0 in the Metro Conference. Tulane is 8-3 and 1-1.
Leftwich, a guard, had career highs of 22 points and eight field goals made to go with six assists. Osborne, a forward, also had career highs of 21 points and 10 field goals (in 15 attempts). Jenny Root added 11 points. \
