OBIT KIRBY, DUVAL ADAM
KIRBY, Duval Adam, 86, of Draper's Valley, died Sunday at his home. He was
born in Draper's Valley on September 9, 1906 and was the son of the late
Hamilton Sayers Kirby and Floyd Allison Kirby. He was a retired farmer and was
a member of the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death
by his wife, Maude Allison Kirby. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Jean
and Ralph Plott, Quinton, Va.; daughter, Helen K. Kelley, Draper's Valley;
four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Draper's Valley
Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Preston O. Sartelle Jr. officiating. Burial
will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7
until 8:30 p.m. Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers,
the family requests that memorials be made to Draper's Valley Presbyterian
Church Cemetery Fund, Route 1, Draper, Va. 24324. Arrangements by Stevens
